I've noticed that I have had several comments being add in the past few days. On one had I think it is cool that people I don't know are finding the site, but on the other hand, most of them are obvious spam messages.
Scholarship video
Now that I'm going back to school I figured I should start lining up those scholarships. This is the video I made for the "Calm-a-Sutra" competition. The point was to make a video explaining the health benefits of tea. I could win a $20,000 scholarship from this. Enjoy.
Crack Cat
Here is my latest video project. Chaz is hysterical on catnip so I thought I would be a responsible owner and exploit it. Enjoy.
Descriptive Names
Over the past year I have a had some people describe me in interesting ways. When I was in Airman Leadership School we had this somewhat silly project where each person got the name of a different classmate and we had to pick some kind of object or animal that described that person. Then we had to say why. The person who got me described me as a Cadillac: sophisticated, confident, but not too flashy.
Video Trailer
I'm working on a video that looks at the differences between the Buddhist and Christian view of the afterlife. Some would say that the difference is rather obvious with issues like heaven, hell, karma/reincarnation. I've found that many people, including myself, actually know very little about it. Things that I have learned about the Buddhist while living in Japan have shocked me and the project is my attempt at explaining those differences. It is still a work in progress but here is a trailer I worked up to keep myself motivated and to pique the interests of viewers like you...
Move On...
There is a new ad out by MoveOn.org. It is a heart wrenching ad with a young mother telling John McCain that he can't have her son as part of his willingness to stay in Iraq for 100 years. Here is the ad.
New YouTube Videos
I've been playing around with my new camera and also with Final Cut pro. These videos are the product of my hard work and imagination. Enjoy.
Where Did YOU meet Jesus...
I have this theory. My theory is that people who grow up in a particular church body without "meeting Jesus" and then "find Him" in another body insist the church or denomination they grew up never taught the gospel. They cry out that all the people there were cold, hollow, and that very few, if any, in the particular body are actually saved.
Stupid Christian Sayings #2: Lets Give God a Hand-clap of Praise
Disclaimer: Once again, this is a comment that annoys me but does not necessarily reflect on the sincerity of those who say it.
A person with a lovely voice finishes up their solo during the collection or communion distribution, or perhaps the praise team completes a song they have been working on for a few weeks. It was an amazing presentation and many people in the service are touched by it and they want to clap to honor the talents. But no! We can't do that...honoring a person in church? How can we mask this? Simple, call it Giving God a Hand-clap of Praise!
Harassing E-mails...
I just received a harassing email complaining on my lack of posts. Okay, it has been almost a month I will admit. I know that the masses are longing for a bit of info on Dan but I have been busy and lazy. Not necessarily in that order.
